WHERE ARE THEY NOW? HOW GENEROSITY CHANGED KYRHEE’S LIFE
Kyhree’s journey wasn’t supposed to end on the streets—but for a long time, it felt like it might. By 2018, he and his brother were homeless, caught in a cycle that seemed impossible to break. Then one day, employees from SNAP’s Homeless Outreach showed up, offering snacks, water, and blankets. It was a small act of kindness, but for Kyhree, it was the moment that changed his life.
He asked, “‘Can you help me get a place?’ SNAP did everything to get me and my brother off the street. That changed everything for me.”
With SNAP’s help, Kyhree and his brother secured housing, which led them to stability. He worked hard, he set goals and built a foundation for his future. Now, seven years after SNAP got them off the streets, they are thriving in ways he never imagined.

Kyhree is a father, a hardworking professional, and a man with ambitious dreams. He works two jobs, balancing long hours and responsibilities to build financial stability for his family.
Kyhree is about to start studying cybersecurity with plans to start his own business and build financial security for his future.

Kyhree has a daughter, Charlotte, and he is determined to be the father he always wished he had. “I always told myself that when I have kids, I want to give them a good life.” He now has plans to move his family to Texas to be closer to extended family so that his daughter can grow up around family love.

In 2018, Kyhree carried his entire life in a backpack. Now, he’s built a home filled with love, stability, and hope for the future. “When I packed up my apartment, I thought about how we started with nothing. Now, I have a place, a family, and a future I’m proud of.”
